Vanguard's line of medium duty, diesel powered forklifts have many of the same features as the light duty versions with regards to operator safety and comfort. These forklifts, however, are designed for heavier loads and feature more rugged construction and operating characteristics. They feature an electronically controlled gear shift with a multi-phase transmission for increased torque and smooth and stable acceleration. A high strength heavy duty drive axle and a highly efficient hydraulic torque converter provide for safety and increased working efficiency. These forklifts have a large air intake system situated on one of the pillars to prevent dust pollution, created by the wheels, from entering the engine.
