Synchronous AC electric servo-motor
max. 3 000 Nm | MDD-SN Series
VASCAT
MDD series motors are synchronous servomotors with a high quantity of magnetic poles.
Their current range spans from 50 Nm to 3,725 Nm (air cooled, natural convection), or
from 101 Nm to 7,330 Nm (water cooled). The motors consist of a stator (or primary)
and a rotor (or secondary). The stator windings are encapsulated in thermally conductive
epoxy resin. The winding overhangs also are encapsulated with epoxy resin to increase
cooling. The rotor consists of stacked sheets, in which the high efficiency permanent
magnets are inserted. The main advantages are as follows: no transmissions required,
high precision, repeatability, and resolution, no angular play, very smooth movement and
a low profile. Air or water cooled. The mechanical configuration of these motors offers
great flexibility: through-hollow shaft, blind shaft, solid shaft or frameless. Foot-mounting
at standard shaft heights and standard B5/B14 flange-mounting.
