Dirty fluid enters inside a cylindrical wedge wire screen, placed in a pressure vessel. Dirt remains inside the screen, letting clean fluid outside the vessel. When pressure drop reaches a pre-set value, drive starts rotating a scraper blade inside the screen. Low pressure pocket near scraper lets dirt collected to an actuated filter drain. A separate pair of filters recovers the fluid from drain, while the filtered fluid is directly fed to the mill.
