Memory Motor: VEM offers for motors in shaft heights 315 and 355 mm, to fit them with RFID Transponders as an Memory-Motor. In the memory chips of thes transponders (TAGs), not only nameplate data, but also additional technical data for built-on components, selected spare parts and maintenance data, and, if requested, customer or user data are stored. Moreover, there is the possibility to actively record a maintenance history.

Conditions:Using the RFID technology for Memory Motors, the safety regulations for the area, within that the motor is operated, must be taken into account.

Making use of this technology, specific reader pens (PEN) with the respective driver software are required. Suitable for the mobile use are the following units:

Fixing position of transponder: The TAG ist fixed on the motor housing. Its position is in the middle of a machined area with a diameter of Ø 16 mm and a depth of about 1 mm, near to the fixing area of the N-end-shield, about 60 mm from the fixing cams, mostly in the same level like the nameplate (marked by a yelloy dot, otherwise for yellow motors with a red dot).
