The Verimet® M4900C is especially well-suited for measuring the conductivity of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It tracks the temperature coefficient (typically aluminum) using a single-knob control to adjust the readings. Compensation is accurate to 0.5% I.A.C.S. over the full range of 12% to 110% I.A.C.S. (5.75% to 52.8% MegaSiemens). The M4900C has an accuracy of 0.3% over the aluminum range of 30% to 62% I.A.C.S. The Verimet® M4900C tester works well on rough or finished surfaces, including forgings, castings, sheet stock and small parts of reasonable mass. Penetration depth is constant, irrespective of material or conductivity.
