The Flexcell PV laminate is encapsulated directly with a single ply TPO membrane. This procedure ensures that the waterproof roofing membrane and the PV laminate that produces the electrical current become a single integrated element.
When integrated onto a roof, these PV membranes benefit from a feed-in tariff (depending on countries) whereby electricity produced can be reinjected into the national grid.
Each membrane is made up to 3 PV films, 50cms wide and connected in series. Once the PV film and the membrane form one integrated element, installation onto a roof is greatly simplified and is basically the same as for the installation of a normal roofing membrane, with the exception that connections between the different elements can vary in each installation.
