Data-storage controller Vitesse Semiconductor

On October 29, 2007, Vitesse announced that the sale of a portion of its Storage Products Business to Maxim Integrated Products, a leading international supplier of quality analog and mixed-signal products, is complete. The sale includes Vitesse's SAS and SATA expander product segments, enclosure management devices and certain other assets.

The Vitesse RAID-on-Chip (ROC), Fibre Channel product segments and backplane devices were not included in the sale. Vitesse plans to continue to market and support the ROC, Fibre Channel and backplane product lines.
