VX Machinist provides a complete overview of the entire manufacturing process associated with a product design. The included CAM modules are not 3rd party solutions or external modules; they are seamlessly integrated with the hybrid modeling kernel and take full advantage of its characteristics. QuickMill offers dramatic speed and tool path improvements for mold and die machining applications - yet has exceptional ease of use to minimize training and support. VX supports a full range of material handling and cutting techniques to allow complex milling in 3D. The 2 Axis milling Tactic provides a rich set of tool paths for rough stock removal and surface finishing. It also provides the means for the operator to make holes or cut access holes with drills or mill tools. 3 Axis milling provides several families of tool paths based on different algorithms for positioning the tool. Because of VX's ability to maintain complete associativity and synchronization with the 3D product model the manufacturing information can be updated directly from the design data. Process definition and NC programming can begin sooner and design changes are much easier to accommodate. The result is increased productivity and improved quality.
