Since 7/2005 W+P PRODUCTS produces RoHS-compliant PLCC-Sockets in accordance with the requirements of the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020C-standard for leadfree reflow soldering processes. The insulator material consists of high temperature resisting PPS designed for soldering at 260°C for 20-35 sec. The PLCC-Sockets commonly used on the electronic-market are not suitable for the high temperatures of the RoHS soldering processes. W+P PRODUCTS is one of the first manufacturers which developed an alternative resisting to the high temperatures during the leadfree reflow soldering process.
