This series of butterfly valves is different in design from previous ones in that the disk is sited excentrically and has a larger sealing surface at its edges. This enables the sealing element to be housed in the armature housing facing outside, thereby making it easier to change and to service. The detachable sealing element consists of a special metal ring with firmly galvanised elastomer sealing lip and can be replaced quite easily and effectively even by untrained personnel in a few hand movements. Where it comes into contact with the medium, the armature housing is available in shiny metallic design or a design with elastomer, whereby the design and the selection of the materials does not have to be the same as that of the sealing element.
