The drum is of a tubular space frame design with box ends into which the tubes are welded. For the three larger machines these ends form the tracks, which contract the support rollers. The design allows a variety of different filtering mesh membranes to be fitted. The cloth is visible during rotation and thus easily inspected for wear or damage
The screen cloth (Type 304 stainless steel woven wire or woven polyester monofilament or other synthetic mesh) is attached to the drum by special two part plastic rivets and rubber-faced stainless steel clamping straps. Removing or fitting the screen cloth is a simple operation. No tracking of the cloth is required
