Description

Ideal light distribution for the best reproducibility The photo-stability test chambers in the PharmaEvent series are available in two sizes. They generate either a constant climate (Type C) or only a constant temperature (Type T). The photo-stability test chambers are characterized by an ideal light, UV, temperature, and humidity distribution (type C) and thus guarantee absolutely reproducible light, UV, and climate conditions. The lighting equipment used meets the requirements of ICH guideline Q1B Option 2 and enables photo-stability tests to be carried out in less than 100 h. Overview One of the most important requirements for photo-stability tests is the homogeneous irradiation of the samples. It is therefore essential to position all samples at the same distance from the light source. The inhomogeneous light emission of fluorescent tubes is balanced out by special light and UV filter systems, thereby resulting in homogeneous illumination of the entire storage area. This system can be equipped with appropriate light and UV sensors to record the illuminance and UV irradiance. This option allows the set-points to be entered in lxh and Wh/m² (e.g., 1.2 million lxh and 200 Wh/m²), thereby providing a fully automated and, in conjunction with S!MPATI® pharma, fully documented process. PharmaEvent photo-stability test chambers offer innovative product functions, high accuracy, intelligent control systems, and high-quality construction.
