4SV Weldon Tool

The 4SV is a variably indexed, premium carbide tool with 4SR
geometry at its foundation. We have taken the standard
corner chamfer, 40 degree helix and full eccentric grind and
modified it with a variable flute index. The 4SR features
combined with the harmonic dampening of variably indexed
flutes results in a tool that can be used at the highest feeds
and speeds with depths of cut up to 1x tool diameter for
shops with the machine capability and performance
requirements to take full advantage of these features. The
4SV is truly the complete package for aggressive roughing
and rough finishing in ferrous metals.
Consistent with our other ferrous tools, the 4SV is available
from stock in Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN) and
Titanium Carbonitride (TiCN) in stub and standard lengths.
Special quotes and non-stocked coatings are available
upon request.
