Marine Style Sanitary Impeller – BioProp Mixing Impeller Axial flow mixing/blending We offer various angles on the WMP Bio Impeller blades, and typically would be a 3 blade impeller: Power Number (Np) = 0.50-2.0+ Flow Number (Nq) = 0.45-1.0+ The BioProp is a great impeller for agitators and mixers used in the sanitary and biotech markets. This blending prop provides excellent pumping ability and is self draining and very easy to clean. Typically built in 316Lss, it provides similar performance to a marine style propeller, but it is fabricated and not cast. This BioPropeller mixing blade can accommodate just about any shaft diameter. It comes can be fabricated in numerous alloys and sizes from lab to production. Mixing impellers for biotech applications often are 316Lss, welded to the shaft, polished to <20RA, and then passivated and electropolished.
