Automatic horizontal folding door

The door system consists of two panels hinged together along the horizontal edge. The top edge of the upper panel is suspended from the building lintel with heavy duty hinges. The bottom edge of the lower panel is equipped with drive system that consists of several drums mounted on a shaft supported by bearings. The door is lifted by several aircraft type galvanized steel cables attached to the lintel and to the drums. Power from the electric operator is transmitted to the drum shaft through chain and sprocket type mechanism. When door open push button is pressed, the door begins to rise as the cables winds onto the drums. When fully opened, the door cantilever’s outside and forms a canopy near the lintel level.
