Vacmobiles are a new approach to providing vacuum for composites manufacturing. They are easy to use and deliver excellent vacuum levels to the mould or bag. With its integrated resin trap, vacuum pump and controls, a Vacmobile is a complete vacuum system - not just a vacuum pump.
The machine is a versatile source of vacuum for composites applications such as resin infusion and the vacuum bagging of wet lay-ups and pre-preg.
Vacmobiles are single phase powered and mobile. Usable almost anywhere, they allow the vacuum source to be taken close to the job. Short vacuum lines reduce vacuum flow restrictions and leakage, leading to higher efficiency, better vacuum in the bag and reduced consumable costs.
Developed out of more than 20 years composites industry experience, Vacmobiles are compact and light but very tough. Vacuum connections to the resin trap are O-ring sealed on the outside of the vacuum tube, allowing unhindered resin entry to the trap. Attention to details such as these reduces the risk of vacuum failure. Clean-up time is also reduced.
Vacmobiles are equally suited to moulding small components and items as large as boat hulls and wind turbine blades. A single machine has been used to resin infuse bag areas up to 190 qm. Multiple machines may be used on large and high value jobs, automatically providing machine redundancy at moderate cost.
