With its ink Premium Black, Wolke Inks & Printers are presenting a strong innovation: the new ink is an attractive option due to its density value - it is considerably darker than the Wolke ink Universal Black - thus providing an excellent contrast. The barcode quality is improved significantly thanks to the increased edge definition. Optimum prerequisites for product coding with downstream camera monitoring of the print image.

The proprietary dye of the Premium ink made by Wolke/Videojet Technologies permits a high printing speed and, moreover, features convincingly short drying periods on porous and various semi-porous printing materials, excellent UV resistance, short decap times and very good first code recovery.

Contrast parameters are extremely important for the coding market. A test print on the material SBS with a resolution of 300 x 300 dpi showed the values Rmax = 87% Rmin = 17% Contrast = 70% (A).

The new Premium Black also scores thanks to its reduced ink consumption which means declining costs for consumption materials. The 100 % maintenance-free system for thermal ink-jet printers is based on application of economical, easily replaceable HP cartridges. Whenever a cartridge is replaced, a new print head is inserted automatically, which immediately ensures a neat print image free of stripes. This Click & Print solution minimizes downtimes in production plants caused by clogged jets, blurred printing results and the maintenance work entailed.
