The Duo is a discreet wireless intercom that provides professional studio floor crew with an effective means to communicate.

In use Duo requires an operator worn headset and boom microphone assembly with integral push to talk (PTT) capability. A secondary PTT switch is provided on Duo’s front panel. With a battery life of more than 10 hours from one pair of AA batteries, the Duo provides high- quality audio in a compact and robust unit. A combined visual and audible low battery indication is included in the product. Audio output is via a 3.5mm stereo jack, enabling studio floor crew to use Duo with their favourite headset. Duo uses narrowband FM techniques to provide clear and crisp audio in a studio environment, reducing the cost of spectrum and offering multi-frequency operation.

The Duo complies to the European RTS 300 086 wireless radio specification. It also complies with demanding type approval requirements across the world.

Combining frequency agility, compact form factor, excellent audio quality and extended battery life, Duo is part of a range of audio products that are the de facto standard for professional broadcasters around the world.

Customers include major news organisations and premier broadcasters. Duo operates in the 400 to 900MHz frequency range and has four non-volatile internally stored channels. These can be reprogrammed using standard PC software.

Duo delivers 50mW RF output power, more than enough for effective operation in the largest studio complex. For smaller working areas, the power can be reduced.
