RSX450 Designed for use in telemetry applications, Wood & Douglas has developed the RSX family of high speed intelligent radio modems which incorporate the Professional Range of multi channel synthesised transceivers to provide fully transparent RF operation. * High speed operation * Fully transparent operation * User configurable via software * Source and destination addressing * RS232 input data rates upto 38,400 baud * Power save facility * TX forcing mode The RSX units are high speed intelligent radio modems which incorporate the Wood & Douglas Professional Range of multi channel transceivers. These modems operate in the VHF and UHF bands and are approved to European telemetry specification ETS 300 220 and European mobile radio data standard ETS 300 113. The modems are housed in a small metal enclosure with easy access to RF, data connection and enclosure fixing points. Alternatively, for those customers who wish to incorporate the unit into their own equipment, the modem board and radio modules are available as OEM assemblies. Internal switching allows either 7V or 12V operation with a maximum RF output power of 500mW. The modems allow 4800 or 9600 baud data transmission using GMSK (Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying) modulation. Serial data is passed to the modems via an RS232 interface at a data rate of up to 38,400 baud.
