The mobile X-ray generator Y.XMB is suitable for inspecting composites at low voltage as well as aluminum and steel parts up to a material thickness of about 38 mm (Y.XMB160) or 60 mm (Y.XMB225). This also applies for welds.

The mobile X-ray generators are easy to operate because the control unit's basic data setting is guided by a menu. Operating parameters and reports of malfunctions or defects are displayed on a large, clearly structured display with a choice of languages in plain text. Switching the mobile X-ray systems on and off occurs either via the control unit or a remote control, on which a blinking warning lamp signalizes when the operational status is "on".

Furthermore, up to 100 frequently recurring image acquisition data (kV, mA, time, focal spot) can be saved and then retrieved by entering the program number. All of the components in the mobile X-ray generators are shielded against the effects of dust and water, and comply with the Protection Class IP 54.
