Self-locking
No! A holding brake is therefore necessary: Brake motor or spring-compression brake.
Temperatures, operating periods
Operating temperature: -20°C to + 80°C.
The operating period can be twice as high as for trapezoid thread (diagrams) and the same as trapezoid threads for high pitches.
Service life
The service life of the KGT is shortened by heavy loads.
Send us the load and lifting speed and we will calculate the service life.
Contamination
Nuts are principally fitted with scrapers. For contaminated applications and fine dust/chippings, we recommend fitting a bellows, or a spiral spring cover. Please discuss with our technical department.
Escape protection, rotation protection
The spindles and/or nuts must not be wound out. Therefore we always use an escape or rotation protection on the S version.
Starting/braking ramp
We recommend using a frequency converter or a soft start as start and brake progress in particular for high pitches. This protects the complete system.
Safety clearance L3 can also be reduced at your own discretion, in particular for high pitches.
