PRT side entry heat shrink tubing provides a means of repairing wire and cable insulation or adding secondary protection to in-service electrical systems without the need to remove or disassemble the associated connectors and end hardware. A heat gun is used to recover the material in the same fashion as standard, non-split, heat shrink tubing.
