ZIRCAR Ceramics’ Refractory Adhesive Type SS is a “hard” adhesive with useful properties up to 1000°C (1832°F). ZIRCAR Ceramics’ Refractory Adhesive Type SS is a combination of soda and silica in a filtered water-based solution. Also known as Sodium Silicate or Water-Glass, Type SS is a hard adhesive with useful properties up to 1000°C (1832°F). SS can be applied to a wide variety of refractory bodies with a brush or roller. After it is air-dried SS exhibits a tenacious bite with high levels of adhesion.
