Our oxidized Pyron technical fibers are inherently flame resistant, and therefore, an effective heat-blocking and fire barrier material. Our oxidized Pyron technical fibers start out as polyacrylonitrile (PAN) that is processed through a proprietary high temperature oven to stabilize its molecular structure.
This process allows our oxidized Pyron technical fibers to retain their appearance, hand, and textile characteristics after open flame exposures. In addition, our oxidized Pyron technical fibers do not burn, melt, or drip. Instead, they char and self-extinguish. We have produced our oxidized Pyron technical fibers for over 20 years, allowing us to become the largest oxidized PAN fiber producer in the world.
