Zwick Roell presents Y series stating materials testing machines. On either side of the test area, the machines feature a a patented hybrid drive and two hydraulic working cylinders. The machines are available in versions of 600, 1200, 1600 and 2000 kN (60 - 200 tonnes). They use a channel-synchronized measuring technology with high resolution. This helps in finding accurate material characteristic values. The machines offer load signal resolution over the entire range. This eliminates the need of range-switching. They feature a patented Zwick hybrid drive. This drive is designed for big test loads and covers the broadest possible range of samples. Hybrid drive brings together the benefits of hydraulic load application such as simple load generation, sturdiness and minimum wear, along with mechanical precision, by offering an excellent positioning accuracy of f ±1 µm under load. Load generation is separated from drive control using the hybrid drive concept. This allows highly accurate reproduction of test conditions. Also, thanks to the large measurement range, low test forces are determined accurately. The testing machine doesn’t require re-equipment.
