The Pneumatic grips are suitable for various materials that are needed to be held. Their gripping force is generated specifically by pneumatic cylinders that act directly on the jaws or through a lever system.
A separation of the tensile and the closing forces guarantees constant gripping force all throughout the test sequence. The contact force which is produce on the specimen can be reproduced. The Zwicks force stabilization system is the one which protects the specimen from unwanted forces during the clamping process. These clamping-sensitive specimens can be held by adjusting the pneumatic pressure and by avoiding the jaw breaks. Furthermore, tensile load application can be static or pulsating.
