videoXtens provides contact-free, high resolution measurement of tensile and compression deformations on all types of plastic, metals, rubber, composites and foils. It is also able to measure transverse strain for the measurement of r and n values to ISO 10113 and ISO 10275 and yield strength in tensile tests to EN 10002-1.

* The perfect extensometer for materials prone to whiplash behavior (safety belts, steel ropes, elastomer ropes, etc.).
* Flexible lighting system (incident and transmitted light) provides optimum illumination for every test situation.
* Suitable for use with temperature chambers via glass insert with heated window.
* High resolution and measuring accuracy over the entire field of view.
* Simultaneous measurement of transverse and axial strain is possible.
* Measurement travel can be varied and is very long (depending on image size and/or lens selected).
* Automatic test specimen mark recognition and recording of initial gage length (L0).
* Optional determination of transverse strain, r & n values to ISO 10113 and ISO 10275 and yield strengths in tensile tests to EN 10002-1.
* Accuracy Class 1 (field of view = 200 mm) to EN ISO 9513 and accuracy Class 2 to EN ISO 9513 (with 8 mm lens or field of view > 200 mm).
* The entire test sequence can be viewed on the monitor and the video sequence can be saved for subsequent evaluation.
