Traction testing wedge grip

This wedge grip for tensile testing is developed by Zwick. It consists of a solid body with interchangeable jaw inserts or fixed jaws and an operating unit to open and close the grip. This grip is compatible to use with fragile samples, as they automatically re-tighten, they compensate to decrease specimen thickness. They close in a symmetrical manner to automatically position the samples in the tensile axis. This grip is also responsible for the elimination of the need for thickness adjustment.
