The “Anton Paar” success story began on January 4, 1922, when Anton Paar started his metalworking shop. Back then, it was hard to imagine that this one-man metalworking shop would one day become a global corporation that currently has more than 4,000 employees.

Anton Paar develops, manufactures and distributes high-precision measuring instruments for research, sample preparation or synthesis, quality control worldwide and provides full service for these products. Anton Paar is the world market leader in the measurement of density and concentration, the determination of dissolved carbon dioxide, and in the fields of rheometry and viscometry. Anton Paar’s customers include most of the major beer and soft drink manufacturers worldwide, companies active in the food, chemicals, petroleum, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as leading academic groups.

The Anton Paar Group is active in more than 110 countries with 37 sales subsidiaries and nine producing firms in Europe and the USA. Meanwhile, more than 3,700 employees in a worldwide network of research and development, production, sales, and support are responsible for the quality, reliability, and service of products made by Anton Paar. Since 2003, the Charitable Santner Foundation has been the owner of Anton Paar. It is dedicated exclusively and directly to charitable purposes. In 2022, the company generated net sales revenue of 545,6 million Euro.

Since 2004, Anton Paar has owned the Charitable Santner Foundation, a non-profit organization that exclusively and directly pursues charitable and non-profit purposes. The foundation promotes non-commercial scientific work and research in the fields of natural sciences and technology, the prevention of addiction and the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
