The LANpoint 7 is a small-footprint stationary data colletion computer for barcode, RFID, and keyboard data collection. It has a bright graphic display with touchscreen option, a full keyboard with keys large enough to be used with gloved hands. Sealed against water and dust intrusion, and with no moving parts, this is one tough terminal. Maintenance is almost non-existent, and management is no different than any computer on the network.
The operating system is Microsoft's Windows CE.NET (Windows CE 4.2) which provides a stable and flexible embedded operating system and a graphical interface recognized by everyone. Standard programming tools can be used to develop custom applications, or a thin-client can be used, eliminating custom application programming. Wired and wireless models are available for almost any installation architecture.
The small footprint allows for installation in small work areas, leaving space for the primary tasks at hand. Whether used for tracking work-in-process, collecting ERP shop-floor data, touch-labor, quality data, time-and-attendance, or showing the operator production instructions and other feedback information, this terminal is designed to provide that functionality for years and years to come. And, due to the open architecture, functionality is expandable as new technologies and application requirements develop. Protection of your investment is built-in.
