Brief description
The most advanced cable balancer is the Flexi-heffer. Useful for applications where loads can be lifted using a cable and/or can be handled flexibly or free-suspended. Ideal especially to the highly desirable added value generated by its user-friendliness and ergonomics. (For technical specifications: see table below)
Unique principle: ergonomic thanks to idle flexible arms
There is no other handling system with the same major advantage in day-to-day use as the BPL Flexi-heffer. What is unique are the idle flexible arms e.g there is no hoist drive inside or attached to the arms. The arms that carry the load are moved by the operator from ‘A’ to ‘B’. Movements, in particular horizontal, are extremely light because of the idle and flexible arms and the hoist drive which is mounted in the static column. Summarized the technology is sophisticated and yet surprisingly simple.
Speed and self-balancing: the second advantage
The idle arms allow easy manual movements in horizontal directions. Vertical movements are also very quickly. The Flexi-heffer is available for many years with the BPL control unit for self-balancing. This means that a series of different loads can be handled successively without the need for any weight adjustments. At the same time the vertical movements can be operated with the touch of a finger with acceleration and deceleration.

Pivot arm KSL-L/-M
Pivot arms type KSL-medium and KSL-light are combined with Demag rope balancers or Demag SpeedHoists which are fitted above the pillar. Therefore, they offer the operator highly convenient, smooth and flexible load handling, as only the relatively low dead weight of the arm has to be moved.
They are available with load capacities of up to 160 kg and, depending on the design, an outreach of up to 5,000 mm.

Telescopic lifting devices are lifted and lowered by inside or outside running chains of electrically driven Demag chain hoists. They are available with two different design principles. Either with square masts as square section telescoping units (TV) or with round masts as round section telescoping units (TR). Both variants are available with single telescoping sections as well as double telescoping sections.
Telescoping units are particularly suitable for handling heavy workpieces up to 1,000 kg and they can take up large moments of up to 1,500 Nm. Depending on the design, strokes of up to max. 2,000 mm are possible.
They can either be fitted in a Demag KBK rail system or on a KSL pivot arm with pillar mounted on the floor.
They can also be used in low buildings with double telescoping sections.
