Description

THe CD4000 is a luminaire battery tester from Act that is designed to test batteries used in stand-alone emergency lighting systems. It performs 1 and 3 hour duration test quickly on 2.4V - 12V rechargeable Lead-acid, Lithium-ion, Nickel-cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. For the 1 hour duration test, the user simply needs to connect the test leads to the battery to operate to simulate a one hour operation in just 6 minutes. It will recognize a low capacity or defective battery in just one minute. For the 3 hour duration test, the battery is tested twice in succession. This leaves a minimum 30% capacity free capacity to operate the luminaire after testing. Accuracy is retained by using the test leads supplied, if these become worn or damaged they can be replaced and still perform with high accuracy.
