The IRHD hardness measurement cycle and the indenter contact with the sample are managed by the software with load control by load cells in Closed Loop (patent AFFRI). This eliminates manual errors and the influences of external vibrations. With a single input, the tester automatically research the specimen, clamps it and shows the result. IRHD hardness tester eliminates human error increasing the accuracy, repeatability, and reproducibility of the measurements. O-rings can be easily tested using the specific sample holder for each chord dimension of ‘OR’ according to ASTM 1414 without having to perform manual settings. The measurements are stored in the computer hard drive and analyzed for statistical processes. Just push the start button and the hardness tester will perform the testing cycle in automatic succession without breaching a phase: 1. - Automatic approach and contact to the sample 2. - Clamping of the sample 3. - Execution of the measurement 4. - Release of the sample The entire test cycle is complete and the result immediately appears on the large display.
