The magnetic piston diaphragm sample gas pump GD303 is used for continuous extractive gas analytics. It mainly serves for unadulterated sucking and pumping of sample gas from sample point to the analyser house resp. analyser. Typical applications are emission measurements e.g. in power plants or waste incinarations and process measurements e.g. in chemical, petro-chemical, steel-, glass- or cement-industry.
The GD303 uses electromagnetism for power transmission to a diaphragm to generate a sample gas flow. Alternating current in electrical coils reverse the magnetic field induced around a magnetized rod at a rate determined by the supplied frequency. Movement of the diaphragm/piston attached to the end of the rod, forces the sample gas through the one-way valves. The pump operates absolutely oil-free. The magnetic piston principle works without motor, motor shaft and bearings. The intelligent design ensures low wear and maintenance-free operation at high pneumatic performance and very low heat generation. Therefore the pump needs no active ventilation.
The performance can be adjusted by a slider (230V-version). In its IP54 enclosure, the GD303 is optimally protected also against dust and dirt. With EPDM and FKM two materials for diaphragm and valves are available: EPDM offers greater pneumatic performance, FKM better chemical resistance.
