Description

Programmable Thermal Shock Test Chambers is an environmental chamber used to test the ability of a product or material to withstand sudden changes in temperature. The function of a thermal shock test chamber is to subject the test specimen to rapid temperature changes, which can occur in real-world applications, such as automotive, aerospace, or electronics industries. During the thermal shock test, the test specimen is placed in a chamber that contains two separate compartments, each maintained at a different temperature. The specimen is first exposed to an extreme high or low temperature in one compartment for a predetermined time, and then rapidly transferred to the other compartment at a different temperature. The rapid temperature change causes the material and components of the specimen to expand and contract rapidly, which can lead to thermal stress, cracking, or deformation.
