Impurity collector filters are an essential element for any system involving both fluids and air (or other gaseous elements). These filters retain, thanks to the filter element inside the main body, suspended particles or small solid bodies that could cause damage to the valves on the seals (between the shutter and the seat). It is therefore always recommended to install an impurity collector filter upstream of each type of valve. Filter cages or cartridges are instead made of different types of materials, depending on the material being processed, fluid or gaseous. These are made with textile fibres, perforated sheet metal meshes or cartridges with holes under a millimetre in diameter, depending on the degree of purity required by the operation. It is important to remember, however, that the finer the filter element, the greater the loss of pressure it will cause: it is therefore necessary to carefully calibrate the degree of filtration. Why are different types of low pressure used? The shapes of the external body of the filters can be of different features, generally and inclined at 45° they can be threaded or flanged, on the cover there is the possibility of inspecting the degree of cleanliness of the filter by unscrewing a central screw from the cover.
