The MetPrep 3™ grinding/polishing machine is excellent for manual preparation for standard applications, or when polishing delicate samples using hand-held tools. It features digital control of all operations including run/stop, platen speed, platen direction and coolant flow. Its sturdy construction and isolated platen spindle eliminate vibration. Platen rotation speeds range from 5-350 RPM in either clockwise or counterclockwise direction, with smooth, consistent low-end torque. An electronic solenoid activates coolant, and an adjustable valve allows for desired flow control.
