Description

The high performance Haydon™ DCM8027 and DCM8054 Micro Stepping Chopper Drives offer an economical solution for volume production requirements. The smaller size lets designers use these drives in tiny spaces and it is easy to incorporate these drives with other electronics. The user's design time can be minimized because these drives are much easier to integrate than the development of a custom drive circuit. The drives are suitable for driving 2-phase step motors with a current rating of 2.8A and 5.5A (max) per phase. These drives are especially designed for superior performance within a large speed range, because they utilize an advanced bipolar constant-current chopping technique with an input voltage of 80 VDC (max), allowing the production of greater speed/power than traditional technologies.
