Designed specifically to produce high-definition thermal images in a temperature range from 600 to 1800°C (1112 to 3272°F), the NIR-Borescope-2K (NIR-B-2K) delivers continuous process monitoring and control for large furnaces.
A radiometric infrared borescope camera, it provides a cutting-edge thermal image with an outstanding definition of 3 million pixels (1968 x 1472), unaffected by the hot atmosphere and gases of the furnace.
The NIR-B-2K allows operators to measure from any of three full radiometric-calibrated mega pixels, providing data to optimise furnace temperature. This helps to save energy, increase efficiency and reduce emissions.
With continuous coverage via Gigabit Ethernet connection and automated alarm outputs, the NIR-B-2K is ideal for use in rotary furnaces, reformer tube furnaces, coal fired power boilers, glass melt furnaces, cement kilns and biomass boilers.
WIDE VIEWING ANGLE
Needing only a narrow opening in the furnace wall, the NIR-B-2K’s wide-angle lens provides a 95° horizontal field of view. This ensures an extensive measurement area covering stock, refractories and burner/heating zones in a single thermal image.
RELIABLE TEMPERATURE READINGS
The NIR-B-2K uses advanced spectral filtering, unaffected by furnace temperature and gases, to deliver real temperature readings and clear monitoring of the interior. Patented background compensation corrects for background reflection, enabling continuous, correct stock temperature readings.
