The Brabender Quadrumat Senior is a universal laboratory test mill with versatile applications:
Production of test flours identical to those used in practice, determination of the milling properties of a wide variety of grain samples (wheat, rye, etc.), determination of the potential yield.
The Quadrumat Senior operates on the same 4-roll principle as the Brabender Quadrumat Junior, but uses two 4-roll units: a grist unit and a grinding or semolina disintegration unit.
In a two-part plansifter with sifter floors arranged one above the other, the fractions are separated according to their granulation - either to a total meal or to two separate meals.
Outstanding process engineering advantages make this unit one of the most widely used of its kind in the world:
- Obtaining a total of 4 milling products:
- Ground meal
- ground meal
- semolina bran
- bran
High efficiency and gentle grinding due to 4-roller system with hardened, profile-ground rollers
2 x 3 different grinding zones in one operation
No intermediate sifting required
Self-cleaning classifier
Easy operation
Good reproducibility and consistency
Throughput 8 - 10 kg/h (depending on grain)
Degree of grinding 65 - 75%
Ash 0.45 - 0.65% in dry matter
With a modified design, the Quadrumat Senior (different rolls and roll spacings, different classifier) can also grind durum wheat into semolina according to the same principle.
