Description

Axiflow Technologies is the Leader in Sanitary Twin-Screw Pumping Technology! The Axi-Mix™ Powder & Liquid Induction System is just another example of our constant innovation for the Food, Beverage, Personal Care & Pharmaceutical Industries. Axiflow does not make mixers! We design systems for inducing powders and liquids into a liquid stream of product regardless of liquid viscosity. The Axi-Mix™ Powder & Liquid Induction System The Problem with Current Technologies Many pump and mixer companies offer a system for incorporating powders into a liquid stream. Some use a centrifugal pump in conjunction with an eductor. The centrifugal pump builds pressure across the eductor which causes a Venturi effect which then sucks the powder into the liquid stream and is then pushed through some type of rotor/stator inline mixer. The other common design is to use a liquid ring pump to suck the powders into the liquid stream and then go through an inline mixer. The limitation with both of these designs is that they can only pull powders into low viscosity liquids. The Axi-Mix™ Advantage On the Axi-Mix™ system, the mechanical shear force on the discharge of the eductor is enough to get most soluble powders into solution without any type of inline mixer with a rotor/stator combination. The Axi-Mix™ is capable of sucking powders into low viscosity liquids as well as very high viscosity liquids. As the liquid becomes more viscous, the Axiflow pump only becomes more positive. With the highest range of speeds of any positive displacement pump on the market, the Axiflow can maintain the pressure required across the eductor regardless of the viscosity.
