By defining this operating point, the valve controller obtains an image of all relevant data during the process. The HE 5713 then automatically derives the optimum, process-adapted time for the next valve pulse from the data determined. The pause time (the time between two cleaning cycles) is thus determined fully automatically by the HE 5713 valve controller depending on the amount of dust and the change of filter resistance. These functions make it possible to significantly reduce compressed air consumption and thus the operating costs of a filter system, as cleaning only takes place when it is really necessary. This sets a variable pause time depending on the load. To protect against infinitely long pauses, which are not desirable depending on the type and quantity of dust, a maximum pause time can be entered (= forced cleaning). The HE 5713 valve controller in the Basic version can also be used safely in potentially explosive atmospheres in ATEX zone 22.
