The main limiting factor for energy transmission and signalling to the dynamic objects is the challenge to withstand movements for prolonged duration without loss or damage. The inductive coupler transmits the signal, data and energy via a 5mm recording gap and thus obviates the requirement of cables or data transmission through the cables. A maximum of 16 sensors can be used in a single system. These couplers provide IO links that help to achieve the transmission of energy and the data reliably, flexibly and without any physical cable layout. Also parallel transmission was also reduced. The new variants permit the measuring signals also to be transmitted affectively and in a contact-free style. It facilitates decrease in mechanical wear, better and more availability of the system and renders the system practically maintenance free.
