Baumüller process control system
The modern Baumüller process control system BPLS considers the demand for flexible production processes and ergonomic operation to an especially high degree. As a link between the automation level, operating level and the production planning systems, the BPLS enables the easy and safe management of complex processes in the print area. This is optimally executed in the visualization, operation and management of production and machine parameters for commercial, sheet-fed and newspaper printing presses.
The control system concept consists of two identical OPC servers that work redundantly. The connection to the digital preliminary step via CIP3 and the interface to the color density regulation are integrated into the new concept through the register computer.
The BPLS is an economic retrofit solution that enables the comfortable adjustment of existing printing presses to the current market requirements. The modular concept guarantees that the system can continue to be improved successfully and adapt to constantly changing customer wishes. The integrated, innovative remote maintenance system BAUDIS can be used on any BPLS computer unit and supports the required machine availability through direct access to the control CPU and the fastest analysis in case of malfunctions.
