The current relays in the CME420 series are responsible for monitoring overcurrent and undercurrent in AC systems, as well as the current between two threshold values. The currents are measures as rms values, while the currently measured value is shown continuously on the LCD display integrated into this item. The values measured are required to trigger the alarm relay, while the installation-specific characteristics are due to adjustable delay times, and users can therefore consider short-time current changes and other device-specific currents. Measurement of current is possible using standard current transformers, while this item also requires external supply voltage.
