Alphanumeric displays are used wherever plain text information is required for rapid communication between man and man or man and machine. All alphanumeric displays, also called matrix displays, contain the complete ASCII code. Due to a variety of standard modules, it is possible to realize almost all desired digit heights and line lengths. Thus, with a homogeneous LED surface, tickers and standing graphics can be displayed in addition to texts. They are absolutely weatherproof and can therefore be used for unprotected outdoor areas.
