Description

Bruker S1 Titan is a handheld XRF “Soil Gun” designed for analyzing soils at contaminated soil sites during characterization, remediation and monitoring. For each sample, it takes only 30-60 seconds to get highly accurate data, resulting in significant time savings. This highly efficient profiling of contaminated soil results in projects not exceeding deadlines or budgets. One of the most important factors in profiling of contamination is the density of samples. As a best practice, from the same samples analyzed with XRF in the field, 5% are delivered to the laboratory for confirmation. XRF is a non-destructive method. The S1 TITAN complies with several regulations and protocols. The TRIAD Approach has the XRF playing an important role. It is useful for increasing the speed of site characterization, remediation and facilitate decision-making in uncertainty. Under the EPA Method 6200, it is useful for analysis of all 26 elements right from Magnesium (Mg) to Uranium (U), and even more. Analysis of - As, Ba, Cd, Cr, Pb, Se, Ag and Hg - all of the 8 Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) metals.
