Overview
The CAP3070 particle number (PN) counter is developed for roadworthiness inspections and workshop testing. Based on Extended Diffusion Charging (ExtDC) and a patented straight-through cell design, it delivers fast, repeatable PN measurements with minimal maintenance. The unit operates standalone or integrated with gas/opacity modules and is controlled from Windows or Android terminals (PC, tablet, smartphone).

Technology & Measurement Principle
ExtDC (Extended Diffusion Charging) electrostatically charges particles entering the sensor and measures the resulting current when charged particles exit. Advantages include absence of consumable liquids, immunity to orientation and vibrations, no dilution and no compressed air requirement.

Operational advantages
The CAP3070 performs PN measurement at idle (no free acceleration needed), reducing test time, noise and engine stress. The straight-through cell limits contamination and extends uptime. The device provides a direct PASS/FAIL indication on filter condition (good, cracked, tampered) and can be controlled from computer, tablet or smartphone running Windows or Android.
