MET-UDA is a portable hardness tester consisting of an electronic module and two changeable probes: ultrasonic and dynamic. The electronic module is housed in an aluminum dust-proof-and-moisture-proof body of IP 66 protection index.
MET-UDA operates according to UCI method at the connection of an ultrasonic probe (ASTM A 1038, DIN 50159), and rebound (Leeb) method at the connection of a dynamic probe (ASTM A 956, DIN 50156).
- Combination of both methods enables to perform hardness control of all metal articles;
- 2 changeable probes: ultrasonic and dynamic;
- No limitations during hardness control (on mass, configuration, structure and degree of mechanical and thermal treatment, etc.);
- Allows to estimate the change in hardness of a hardened layer along the depth of the article and the influence of surface tension;
- Two hardness testers in one - it is convenient and profitable:
cost of МЕТ-UD = [cost of (МЕТ-U1) + cost of (МЕТ-D1 - 25%.
MAIN POSSIBILITIES
- Measurement of metal and alloy hardness according to standardized hardness scales: Rockwell (HRC), Brinell (HB), Vickers (HV) and Shore (HSD);
- Availability of three additional scales H1 (HL), H2, H3 for calibration of various hardness scales for hardness control of steel and other metals (for example, aluminum alloys, copper);
- Possibility of hardness control of items that are inaccessible for stationary hardness testers due to their size;
- Hardness measurements of articles of any mass and thickness starting from 1 mm (metal coatings, small parts, thin-walled structures, reservoirs, steel sheets);
- Does not leave any visible indent on the tested article surface (crankshafts necks, mirror surfaces, knives);
