Product description
The corona surface treatment unit prepares low-energy plastic substrates (e.g. PE, PP) to improve ink wetting and adhesion by increasing surface tension through a controlled electrical discharge.

How it works
Two electrodes are positioned on the front and back of the part or web. A high-frequency electrical discharge between the electrodes activates surface molecules, creating polar species that increase surface energy and promote bonding between the substrate and printing inks.

System composition
The system includes a generator, a high-voltage transducer and a treatment station. The device operates at high frequency using semiconductor technology to deliver repeatable surface activation.

Application and integration
The unit is compatible with all Comec Italia machines and is mounted on the feeder. It must be requested in advance so feeders and supports can be prepared for installation and correct positioning.
